“When you have 4PL services, you have true visibility across your supply chain. You can quickly understand which orders will be impacted by the Canadian tariff, your options for sourcing those items in other places like Puerto Rico or Europe, and the effects of switching suppliers,” says Noah Hoffman, VP for retail logistics at C.H. Robinson.

“Shippers are tired of having to piece together TMS, 3PL, and 4PL services. They want to be able to get those services in one place but also affordably choose which they need—whether they’re a small business or one of the largest shippers in the world,” says Michael Castagnetto, president of NAST for C.H. Robinson.

Mike Short, president of Global Forwarding at C.H. Robinson, said there was an increase of USMCA qualification and tariff classification requests even before the official announcement. "Now that the official amendments are published, these requests have only increased, and we expect this trend to continue."
