As Chief Communications Officer at C.H. Robinson, Duncan Burns is responsible for leading the company’s global internal and external communications and marketing teams in support of C.H. Robinson’s strategic business goals, customer goals and corporate reputation. Areas of focus include global communications and marketing strategies, media relations and reputation management, executive communications, internal communications, crisis communications, digital communications and marketing, social, and other initiatives. Duncan joined C.H. Robinson in 2020.
Duncan’s prior roles include VP, External Communications at Fannie Mae, the Fortune 25 financial services company and SVP, Global Communications and MD, Washington D.C. office for ICANN, one of the critical organizations responsible for the technical administration of the Internet. He also spent more than a decade at global public relations firm Hill+Knowlton Strategies, in the U.S. and U.K., in a range of roles including as EVP and Global Energy Practice Director, General Manager-Washington D.C. and SVP in the Technology Practice.
Duncan has an M.A. in United States Politics and Government and a B.A. in United States Studies from the University of Essex.
