Dear Valued Customer,
On May 7, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) published in the Federal Register preliminary affirmative determination on antidumping duties (ADD) for 14 countries for imports of aluminium extrusions. Aluminium extrusion from China, Columbia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and United Arab Emirates are now subject to antidumping duties.
Links to Commerce’s “Preliminary Affirmative Determination of Sales at Less Than Fair Value, Postponement of Final Determination, and Extension of Provisional Measures” for each country are below. It includes ADD duty rates and scope of the order. The scope of the order may change once the final determinations on the ADD case are made.
In March, Commerce instructed U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to suspend liquidation and collect the countervailing duties effective March 11, 2024 for five countries (see previously client advisory here).
