Dear Valued Customer,

As of Tuesday morning, the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has initiated a strike at all 36 U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports.

With a strike in progress, contingency modes and routes may become overwhelmed very quickly. U.S. West Coast ports, Canada gateway, non-ILA ports, and rail services will be challenged with volume shifts for the duration of the strike. C.H. Robinson remains in contact with ocean carriers and port providers in order to assist any customers with impacted containers.

Due to increased rail and USWC container volume, more use of truck and transload services may be needed. C.H. Robinson’s supply chain experts are actively assisting customers with freight that may be impacted with alternate options, including air and transloading.

Thank you for being a valued customer.

Sincerely,

C.H. Robinson
