Dockworker unions have announced coordinated strike action and demonstrations at more than 100 ports across multiple countries on October 30, 2026.  The action could affect port and terminal operations in parts of Europe, North America, and India.  Public reporting identifies ports in countries including France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Türkiye, Morocco, India, Mexico, and the U.S. (west coast).

Operational disruptions and shipment delays may occur at participating ports, with the duration and severity expected to vary by port, terminal, and level of local participation.  Some locations may experience work stoppages, while others may experience demonstrations with more limited operational impact.

C.H. Robinson teams are monitoring developments and affected shipments and remain in close contact with ocean carriers, port authorities, and terminals.  Where appropriate, our teams will work to identify options to help minimize potential disruptions.

Customers can help minimize delays by providing required shipment and customs documents promptly, allowing additional lead time for impacted shipments, and remain flexible on schedules or routing options, if necessary.
