New medications on the rise
GLP-1s have received a lot of attention for good reason. Drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound now account for roughly 8% of all U.S. prescriptions. As of December 2025, 20% of U.S. households had at least one GLP-1 user, up from 9% in 2024. If you know somebody who’s recently lost a conspicuous amount of weight, this may very well be why.
But GLP-1s are just one class of novel drugs that are changing the way things are done in pharma logistics. The confluence of AI, genomics, and advanced biotech manufacturing has created the next generation of pharmaceuticals, including:
