Dear Valued Customer,

Hurricane Idalia made landfall on the West Coast of Florida Wednesday and will continue to impact much of the Southeast United States through the week. States of emergency have been declared in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina as part of hurricane preparedness plans. There are some capacity supply constraints in and around the impacted areas as the storm moves across the region.  Our teams are keeping an eye on emergency response needs as power outages, road closures, and flooding are ongoing.

TRUCKLOAD
Road closures and power outages are having some impact on available capacity at this time and many carriers will begin prioritizing relief shipments as the storm passes. Your C.H. Robinson team is here to support you with planning, alternative solutions, and tracking your freight.

LESS THAN TRUCKLOAD (LTL)
Many LTL terminals are either closed or working under limited operations at this time in the impacted region. Shipment delays can be expected for any shipment into or out of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina for the remainder of the week.

INTERMODAL
Rail terminals in Tampa and Central Florida have suspended operations as the storm moves through and terminals in Savannah, GA will close to gate traffic beginning at Noon Eastern Wednesday. As a result, intermodal shipments into and out of Florida and Southeast Georgia will likely experience some transit delays.

OCEAN
The Ports of Tampa Bay and Jacksonville have suspended operations during the storm. The Port of Savannah has suspended vessel operations through Thursday while all other operations remain active at this time.
