C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Logistics Representative to oversee and enhance critical operational processes for high-security shipments, including radioactives and explosives. In this role you will manage U.S. document compliance, coordinate export filings, and ensure strict adherence to national security protocols. You will drive process alignment across global regions, proactively identify automation opportunities, and implement solutions that reduce manual work. In this role you will collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to monitor, assess, and optimize logistics workflows for efficiency and compliance. You will play a key role in transitioning operations toward future-state process maps and supporting ongoing technical training.
Experience and/or certification related to hazardous materials transportation, including IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) is highly preferred. Candidates with experience or current certification in these areas will be prioritized, however, C.H. Robinson will support required training and certification for the right candidate.
Upon joining, you will spend the first few months in our Houston office to participate in training and onboarding. From there, the team member will sit on site with our customer, also based in Houston.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Navisphere/Integration
Creation/deactivation of users
Reporting setup/maintenance/distribution
Ability to set up C.H. Robinson internal systems, for example:
Nav Online and Nav Carrier
Small Parcel Config Tool and Exceptions
Navisphere Ocean (MRM, etc)
Complex Load Build Profiles
Spotbid
Dock & Yard manager
Ticket submission & follow up (INC’s, eBiz, IDEA, and PRB tickets, etc)
Testing & training documentation – participation in ‘train the trainer’ sessions for new functionality and customer implementation projects
Ability to train internal and external users on functionality
Create working instructions for new features/development where required
Ability to create test scenarios if needed to reproduce an issue
Create documentation e.g. working instructions / manuals to distribute to internal/external users and frequently asked questions (FAQs) from Ops to distribute to users
Change requests and involvement of requirements gathering for new enhancements
Test new functionality after Tech team validates functionality
Train internal/external users of new functionality and/or reporting tools
Customer specific items where necessary/agreed
Rating/CPC Cost Quotes
Support the Rating team with rate analysis, formatting, templates and upload
Business Intelligence Create standard templates for customer Monthly Operational Review
Create standard reports for performance monitoring
Train customer users on BI tool
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 6 years of experience in Logistics/Freight Management control tower operations including at least one – air, ocean, ground, parcel mode experience
Strongly Preferred:
Experience and/or certification related to hazardous materials transportation, including IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business or Logistics
Strong affinity with technology solutions and confident in customer facing environments
Understanding of operating processes and capabilities, business process standardization and enabling technologies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools , Excel, PPT, Word, Visio, Power BI
Flexible and effective communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately within the organization; this includes written and verbal communications
Additional languages a benefit
Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization

Compensation Range
$23.08 - $36.44The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
