Eden Prairie, MN, February 23, 2011 — C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc, ("C.H. Robinson") has once again been honored with the Patriot Award by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).  C.H. Robinson has long supported its military employees and was recognized with three Patriot Awards and the Seven Seals Award in 2008 and the Pro Patria Award in 2009.

First Lieutenant Seth Miletich, a Scout Platoon Leader for C TRP 1st of the 94th Cavalry Squadron, 34th Infantry Division "Red Bulls" of the Minnesota National Guard nominated Kelly Loosbrock, general manager at C.H. Robinson for the award. Miletich has been called to active duty and will leave in February, 2011.

"Being recognized by those individuals who voluntarily step up to protect life and liberties and defend the United States is truly an honor.  These individuals are the true heroes and supporting them in the workplace is the least we can do," said Loosbrock.

The National Committee for ESRG conducts an awards program designed to recognize employers who support a strong National Guard and Reserve force. Employers qualify for recognition when they practice leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve.

The Patriot Award is given to companies who have demonstrated outstanding support to a deploying soldier. Companies who receive the Patriot Award are also nominated to receive the Secretary of Defense Freedom Award.

"ESGR seeks to promote a culture in which all American Employers support and value the military service of their employees – especially those who serve in National Guard and Reserve forces.  The consistent nomination of C. H. Robinson's executives and supervisors for recognition as a Patriotic Employer by its reserve component employees serves as a sterling example of that culture," said Paul Monteen, state chair for the Minnesota Committee of ESGR.

ESGR is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts through mediation. ESGR volunteers provide free education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
