The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Analyze and track category performance using internal tools and syndicated data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
Develop and maintain accurate store and product attribution across key retail partners to ensure data integrity and actionable insights.
Collaborate cross-functionally with insights, sales, supply chain, and other teams to align strategies and support business objectives.
Participate in buyer meetings and category reviews, delivering data-driven recommendations that influence assortment, pricing, packaging, and merchandising strategies.
Create and optimize planograms that reflect shopper behavior and drive in-store execution across retail channels.
Support omnichannel growth initiatives by leveraging data to develop sustainable, customer-centric category strategies.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, guiding stakeholders on how to use customer data to drive growth at the retail level.
Act as a thought leader, continuously learning, adapting, and applying best practices to enhance category performance and strengthen retail partnerships.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with a degree in business or marketing
4+ years of experience in category management or retail merchandising, ideally within CPG, grocery, or fresh produce industries
Experience creating planograms using JDA Prospace
Ability to travel up to 10%
Experience in using retailer data, panel/POS syndicated data preferred (Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, 1010, Walmart Luminate, etc.), consumer insights, and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans in the produce industry
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable business strategies.
High proficiency in base business tools (Excel/PowerPoint/Power Bi), with in-depth knowledge in analyzing and creating visualizations of large amounts of data
Proven track record in persuasively influencing and aligning key customers and business stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization

Compensation Range
$71,800.00 - $149,200.00The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
