In this role, you will engage with peers on-site three days a week, (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) igniting creativity and driving impactful results. With the flexibility for remote work two day a week, (Wednesday and Friday), this role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Grow and manage a portfolio of customer accounts to maximize revenue based on customers’ needs.
Sell fresh produce supply chain solutions with a focus on transactional business, continually developing long-lasting relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organizations.
Understand market conditions and competitive landscape to provide efficient and effective supply chain service solutions for the customer.
Generate revenue and maintain a pipeline to meet or exceed net revenue goals and expectations.
Partner with customers to gather information on their needs and offer tailored solutions based on the Robinson Fresh suite of products and services to win business.
Build and deliver proposals, tailoring each presentation to the customer, and build a winning deal team using the right internal resources.
Leverage customer-facing technology to ensure the right technology is matched to customer needs and influence customers to leverage automation and increase process efficiency from day one of implementation.
Use multiple media platforms to drive relationships forward utilizing in-person or phone-based conversations.
Collaborate and partner with Account Management teams to create and execute an implementation plan to effectively transition relationship management duties if customer buying behavior changes to reflect the Robinson Fresh managed account criteria; assists in the development of any SOPs required to manage the customers’ business effectively
Use internal tools and resources, including but not limited to service line and pricing SMEs, to determine customer pricing strategy.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of direct consumer sales experience with demonstrated experience in growing sales
Ability to travel up to10%-25% (domestically)
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Fresh produce experience (buying and selling) across a broad range of commodities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Demonstrated negotiation and sales strategies experience
Proven ability to identify, gain entrance into, create, and sell comprehensive tailored supply chain solutions to Directors
Proven experience with organizational skills and ability to manage competing, high priority demands
Self-starter, able to think, plan, and act independently
Commercial and service oriented. Keen sense for business development
Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
Strong ability to establish and manage relationships with varying levels of stakeholders
Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation and persuasion and negotiation skills
