Senior Communications Manager

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our collaborative team of company storytellers.

In this role, you’ll drive innovative and effective integrated communications, enhance brand awareness, strengthen our corporate reputation, manage media relations, and support lead generation.

We’re looking for someone with exceptional written and verbal communication skills across multiple channels, experience partnering with leaders, and a strong ability to collaborate across teams and functions (Business, Marketing, HR, etc.). You should be comfortable managing complex initiatives with a consultative and solutions-oriented approach. Your integrated communications expertise will help you craft robust plans, write compelling content, build audiences, engage influencers and the press, manage social media, and foster cross-functional collaboration.

In this hybrid role, based at our Eden Prairie corporate headquarters, you’ll typically be expected to spend three days in the office with the option to work from home.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute integrated communication initiatives that align with business objectives to drive engagement and company performance

  • Manage media relations, including crafting press materials, pitching to journalists, and fostering media and influencer relationships

  • Provide communications support for crisis response, major initiatives, and executive messaging

  • Serve as a strategic advisor, partnering with leaders to craft clear, compelling messaging across multiple channels

  • Create and manage cross-channel content and communications plans that inform, inspire, and drive action

  • Enhance communication channels and processes, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation

  • Monitor media trends, identifying opportunities for paid, earned, shared, and owned content

  • Leverage analytics to assess audience engagement and refine storytelling strategies

  • Support event planning and PR efforts, including media interviews and social promotion

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in media relations, news writing and social media content for a company brand, including securing media coverage, creating engaging organic content, and managing company brand social media content on Facebook and LinkedIn

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships at all levels

  • Strategic thinker who can drive change and innovation within a large, complex organization

Compensation Range

$76,100.00 - $118,700.00
