EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (November 4, 2016) C.H. Robinson, a global leader in third party logistics (3PL), raised over $590,000 this Fall during its Robinson Cares community giving campaign, exceeding expectations.

The success of this campaign is due to the expansion of Robinson Cares and employee enthusiasm to give back to the communities they live, work, and play in. “Robinson Cares is driven by our people. They are the ones raising money, collecting donations, and volunteering countless hours to make an impact in their communities,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer. “They are the best in the logistics industry, and we’re proud of each and every one of them for this success.”

Over the last 17 years, C.H. Robinson’s corporate headquarters has hosted Robinson Cares Week in September, raising over $2.6 million for local and national charities. To make a bigger impact, 17 offices throughout North America participated in this campaign.

Employees coordinated fundraising and volunteer activities and selected the charities their donations would go towards. Some offices did community outreach by helping the homeless, feeding the sick, or donating clothes and food.

Through the company and the C.H. Robinson Foundation, we have given back over $22 million since 2005 to the communities in which we live and work. In the last year, we biked a collective 23,850 miles in the C.H. Robinson MS 150 for the MS Society, donated 463 pints of blood, made 25,000 sandwiches for the homeless in one day, donated over 71,000 pounds of food and delivered 1,040 meals to people in need, mentored 1,005 children for over 2,225 hours throughout the year, and adopted 280 families over the holidays.

This year’s Robinson Cares campaign proceeds will benefit local, national, and global charities including:
