PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 19, 2016) C.H. Robinson, a global leader in third party logistics (3PL), hosted Robinson Cares, a community giving campaign, at its Valley Forge office in Conshohocken, PA, in September. Employees raised over $3,600 in cash, donations, and pledges, and volunteered 132 hours of service.

Employees served their community by supporting operations at Cradles to Crayons Warehouse including organizing and sorting donations, cleaning toys, and preparing for toy distribution.

Internally to raise money, employees participated in a variety of office activities and a raffle.  Donations from the events will be given to Cradles to Crayons, Small Steps in Speech, and C.H. Robinson Hardship Fund – three charities chosen by employees.

“Our employees are the best in the logistics industry, and making a difference in the communities in which we live, work and play is at the heart of the culture at C.H. Robinson,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. “With the expansion of Robinson Cares to cities across North America, our employees are excited about the even bigger impact they will have on our communities and neighbors.”

Over the last 17 years, C.H. Robinson’s corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minn. has hosted Robinson Cares Week the third week of September, raising over $2.6 million for local and national charities. To make a bigger impact, offices throughout North America are participating in this initiative.
