Eden Prairie, MN (August 21, 2012) C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., one of the world's largest third party logistics (3PL) companies, has been named the #1 3PL by the readers of Inbound Logistics through their annual Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards.

This is the second year in a row that C.H. Robinson has been named the #1 3PL in Inbound Logistics and continues a trend of major awards the company has received in 2012. Earlier this year, Fortune magazine named C.H. Robinson a "World's Most Admired Company" for the third straight year. In July, Anheuser-Busch named C.H. Robinson its 2011 Non-Asset Based Carrier of the Year.

"C.H. Robinson is responsive and continues to anticipate evolving needs by offering the strategic solutions required to drive business process improvement and change for their customers," said Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics.

Each year, Inbound Logistics asks its readers to select who they feel is the Top 3PL in the industry through a survey. This year, 8,638 votes were cast, which was a record number. Survey respondents came from small and large companies, across all industries and had job titles ranging from load coordinator to corporate management.

"Being named the #1 3PL by the readers of Inbound Logistics is all the more meaningful because it's the voice of the customer," said Jim Butts, senior vice president at C.H. Robinson. "Their voice, and ultimately their vote, is our motivation to continue providing our current and future customers with innovative supply chain solutions which allow them to accelerate their advantage."
