SEATTLE, WA (October 26, 2017) C.H. Robinson, a global third party logistics (3PL) company, and its Seattle and Spokane offices contributed to a month-long, company-wide, employee-led giving campaign. The campaign raised a total of $791,000 for local, national and global charitie. In addition to the Robinson Cares campaign fundraising, employees accumulated more than 1,450 volunteer hours, helping their neighbors in need.

The Seattle office volunteered nearly 50 hours to Dress for Success Seattle, setting up, managing and breaking down a Designer Treasure Sale. Over 500 people attended the event who purchased clothing, and all of the proceeds went toward the costs of running the Dress for Success Seattle program. “This organization makes a great deal of impact in our local communities,” said Jesse Montero, sales manager at C.H. Robinson. “It helps empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. We’re proud to support this organization.”

Employees at the Spokane office raised $1,300 for River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary and Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery through proceeds from internal activities, by hosting a silent auction that was open to the public and by bringing in food trucks that served 70 people. A portion of the proceeds from the food trucks was donated to the organizations. Additionally, employees volunteered nearly 30 hours at River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary, helping to clean up the farm. “As a team, we are focused on giving back to the community in which we live and work,” said Curtis Mackey, account manager at C.H. Robinson.

Since 2005, C.H. Robinson, along with its Foundation, has given over $23 million back to our communities.

“Our employees are the best in the industry — not just in their supply chain expertise, but their dedication to making an impact in their communities on the issues that matter to them most,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. “Because of them, we were able to support more than 250 nonprofits working locally and globally.”
