Eden Prairie, MN (September 26, 2013) C.H. Robinson continues to be recognized as the workplace of choice as the company was ranked the #1 large company on the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 15th annual Best Places to Work list. This also marks the 12th year that C.H. Robinson has been recognized on the list, the most for any company in Minnesota.

Each year, the Business Journal and their research partner Quantum Workplace, conduct a survey where employees are asked to rate their company on a variety of topics, including work environment, people practices, and personal growth and development. The Best Places to Work awards are the Twin Cities’ longest-running recognition program for employers who create and maintain an engaging work environment.

In addition to being a Best Place to Work, C.H. Robinson created 145 new jobs in Minnesota since September 2012. Currently, the company employs over 1,650 employees in Minnesota and has over 80 job openings in the state for positions in sales, information technology, account management and operations.

”Being named the number one Best Place to Work is an incredible achievement and one that couldn’t have been attained without the great work of our employees,” said Angie Freeman, vice president of Human Resources at C.H. Robinson. “Our team-oriented, positive, and performance-driven culture is the foundation of our success and our track record as an industry leader.”

The Business Journal highlighted C.H. Robinson’s employees and their desire to continually give back to the various communities that play a role in the company’s success. This focus shaped programs such as C.H. Robinson’s Community Giving Garden, where employees have cultivated 4,000 pounds of fresh produce for a local food shelf since 2011. The company also introduced a carrier scholarship program in 2012 that supports and expands the educational success of both C.H. Robinson truckload contract carrier employees and their children.

Earlier in 2013, C.H. Robinson was named a National Top Workplace by WorkplaceDynamics. C.H. Robinson has also been recognized on Fortune magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list since 2010, named a Star Tribune Top Workplace since 2011, and was voted the number one “Top 3PL” by the readers of Inbound Logistics in August 2013.
