Eden Prairie, MN (July 20, 2012) C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., one of the world's largest third party logistics companies, has been named Anheuser-Busch's 2011 non-asset based carrier of the year.

The award, given in appreciation for outstanding commitment and service to Anheuser-Busch, is based on eight objective metrics including on-time pickup, trailer pool compliance and SmartWay® requirements. In addition, a provider's ease of doing business and responsiveness were a couple of the subjective metrics taken into account.

Anheuser-Busch said C.H. Robinson provided substantial support with both dry and refrigerated capacity during the spring and summer selling season at multiple brewery locations in 2011. In addition, C.H. Robinson was the first over-the-road provider to offer onsite support and collaborate on process improvements and performance at Anheuser-Busch's Business Service Center operation in St. Louis.

"Our mission is to provide exceptional value to our customers and suppliers, so it is an honor to be recognized in this way by Anheuser-Busch," said Tim Manning, vice president at C.H. Robinson. "Our network of offices that work on this account provide the local knowledge needed to properly execute the business while performing as one cohesive operation."

The award is another in a long line of recent accolades for C.H. Robinson. In 2011, the company was named the "#1 Top 3PL" by the readers of Inbound Logistics, recognized as a "Great Supply Chain Partner" by Supply Chain Brain, and in 2012 was named a "World's Most Admired Company" by Fortune for the third straight year.
