Eden Prairie, MN, June 22, 2011 Thanks to the high rankings of a survey of its employees, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune, a major newspaper of the Twin Cities area.  C.H. Robinson was ranked on the large company list and was the only company in the Logistics sector listed in the entire 2011 report.

The newspaper published a special report on Sunday, June 19, recognizing the region's best places to work, judged by those who know best -- the individual companies' employees. The analysis included responses from over 60,500 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.

Produced by the same team that compiles the 20-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions about company leadership, communication, career opportunities, workplace environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits.

"Being recognized as a Top Workplace by our own employees is a great honor. Our people are the heartbeat of our company and truly make it a great place to work," said Laura Gillund, vice president of Human Resources at C.H. Robinson.

To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Over 1,200 companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.

"The companies in the Star Tribune Top 100 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies," said Star Tribune Publisher Michael J. Klingensmith.

In addition to the Top Workplaces ranking, C.H. Robinson has also been named a "Best Place To Work" by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal every year since 2006.
