2023 Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security Summit

 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will host the 2023 Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security (TFCS) Summit on April 17-19 at the Omni Boston Hotel and virtually.  We encourage trade participation in this event to better understand the direction of CBP in a number of areas including Forced Labor, E-Commerce, Global Business Identifier (GBI), Technology and Cybersecurity among many other agenda topics.

CBP Updated Forced Labor Resources

On February 23, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #55222106 to provide additional information to companies seeking to comply with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and Section 307 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1307).

  • On March 14-15, 2023, CBP’s Office of Trade will host the Forced Labor Technical Expo in Washington D.C. The Forced Labor Technical Expo will offer a forum for industry to provide the international trade community with information about the latest technologies that can aid in securing and managing the flow of goods. Register here.
