Produce Managers and Chefs Saluted at United Fresh

I recently attended the United Fresh show in San Diego. This was my third time attending since joining C.H. Robinson. Every year, I return inspired by new ideas that I bring back to incorporate into our business.

The United Fresh show provides the ability to network with other industry professionals from each segment of the produce industry. This year, the conversations were focused on current legislation, innovation in packaging and product, and how we can all do more to increase overall produce consumption.

Of all the events that occurred throughout the show, I specifically looked forward to the produce manager and chef awards dinner. The dinner is where everyone comes to honor and thank retailers, produce managers, restaurateurs and chefs for their inspiration and expertise that drives innovation throughout the entire industry.  We are all motivated by their success and inspired to support all segments of the produce industry and its consumers. Before dinner this year, we had the opportunity to salute and thank this group for all they do to keep the industry we love to work in vibrant and fresh.

For those of you unable to attend the dinner this year, please take a minute to watch this video. More importantly, next time you are in a grocery store or restaurant, stop and say thank you to the produce manager and chef for all they do to increase produce consumption.
