AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (August 23, 2016) —
C.H. Robinson continues to build upon its commitment to Europe with a recently opened transportation office in Bratislava, Slovakia. This office continues to build the company’s European presence and add to its growing office network in the region. In addition to opening the office, C.H. Robinson has also named a new branch manager, Michal Sojka, who will be responsible for leading the office’s growth.

Sojka believes the Slovakia office represents a leap forward for C.H. Robinson’s footprint in the region. “Slovakia is often seen as the center of Europe, and one of the bridges between Eastern and Western Europe. Over the past few years, the area has upgraded its infrastructure, making the transportation of goods to and from Slovakia more and more accessible. We have a great, qualified workforce, and I’m excited to grow this business with the
C.H. Robinson team.”

Slovakia was chosen as a key strategic growth area due to the increasing number of foreign, and domestic companies expanding their businesses in the region. “Central and Eastern Europe’s upward trend in trade has become an industrial proverb for the region’s wider economic rise,” said Arkadiusz Glinka, C.H. Robinson’s director of transportation Eastern Europe. “We are confident about our investments in this region, since the stable economic landscape is generating considerable growth in the transport sector.”

Sojka joins C.H. Robinson from Blaguss Slovakia. Before Blaguss, he worked at DHL Slovakia, where he held various management positions over the years.
