AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (June 6, 2016) – C.H. Robinson has announced it is a proud sponsor of the Cool Globes exhibition, featuring several outdoor sculptures promoting the idea of climate protection. In addition to the sponsorship, the C.H. Robinson Warsaw Transportation Office provided transportation services to ensure the sculptures arrived safely and on time.

“This was a natural fit for our office–we were able to provide our expertise to an event that raises awareness for global warming,” said Arkadiusz Glinka, C.H. Robinson Director of Transportation, Eastern Europe. “C.H. Robinson is dedicated to supporting our customers as well as community and environmental causes. We are excited to be part of this great initiative.”

The Cool Globes initiative will take place in Warsaw through September 2016. The exhibit includes 16 globes measuring 2.2 meters tall and 1.6 meters wide. Each globe weighs 700 kilograms.

This initiative was launched in the United States in 2005. The outdoor sculptures were exhibited for the first time in Chicago in 2007. Soon they set out on their journey across the United States, visiting a number of cities. The U.S. exhibitions were visited by many prominent guests, including President Barak Obama, former President Bill Clinton and then-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“C.H. Robinson has definitely been an enthusiastic sponsor of this exhibit from the very beginning, and I have been really touched by their genuine commitment to helping the community by making this exhibit possible. I am amazed by how well they handled all the details of transporting the globe sculptures across Europe to our warehouse in Warsaw,” said Janice Rzycki, initiator of the Cool Globes Warsaw exhibition.

Over the last few years, the Cool Globes have been exhibited across Europe, including in Amsterdam, Geneva, Copenhagen and Marseille.
