Insurance benefits are available to all employees working 30 or more hours per week. Employees are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Our Physical Wellness resources are designed to promote healthy living for both you and your family.
Protect the health of yourself and your family with C.H. Robinson's health plan. The plan is the UnitedHealthCare (UHC) Choice Plus Plan, a preferred provider organization (PPO). You can see any doctor you want, but if your doctor is in the plan's network, you pay less. Preventive care is covered at 100%. For most other services, you pay a percentage of the cost. Keeping track of your expenses is easy with UHC's online tools.
C.H. Robinson offers programs that focus on improving overall health and wellness at no cost. The Healthy Pregnancy Program from UnitedHealthCare offers you and your spouse (covered under the C.H. Robinson's health insurance plan) personal support through all stages of pregnancy and delivery. The QuitPower Program offers assistance, support, and tools to help break free from tobacco use.
Appropriate dental care is important to your overall health and wellness. To help you maintain healthy teeth and gums, C.H. Robinson offers dental insurance that covers preventive dental procedures and a good portion of other dental work. The dental plan is administered by Delta Dental of Minnesota.
C.H. Robinson's vision plan is designed to help you pay for routine eye examinations and eyewear. Covered employees are free to see any provider, but receive a higher benefit when going to a participating vision service provider.
C.H. Robinson provides life insurance at no cost to you. We offer basic life insurance equal to one times annual compensation, which is the base salary plus annual bonus, if applicable. You also have the option to buy supplemental life insurance for yourself, your spouse, and children.
You are automatically enrolled in both our Short and Long Term Disability coverage based on your full salary. Our Short Term Disability coverage is a salary continuation plan fully paid by C.H. Robinson. We will also pay the Long Term Disability (LTD) premium on your salary up to $30,000, with you being responsible for paying the LTD premium on any salary over $30,000.
Flexible Spending Accounts
The flexible spending plan is a pre-tax benefit plan that saves you money. Out-of-pocket medical, dental, eye wear, and day care expenses that you have to pay each year can quickly add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Ordinarily, these expenses are paid for with your after-tax dollars, but if you enroll in a flexible spending account, you can set aside pre-tax dollars via payroll deduction to pay for these out-of-pocket expenses.
Our Emotional Wellness programs recognize the importance of emotional health in your overall wellbeing.
We appreciate our employees and reward them for their hard work by offering paid vacation. Paid vacation is earned based on the employee's date of hire and the years of service with the company.
Employees are paid for seven holidays each year:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Christmas Day
- One Floater Holiday (to be used for other personal or religious holidays)
Employee Assistance Program
Life can be challenging and stressful, and everyone needs support from time to time. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free program available to you and your family when life gets challenging. Changes—good and bad—offer opportunities for us to assist you. All EAP services are:
- Accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Available to your dependents and all members of your household
Our Financial Wellness programs focus on the health of your pocketbook by offering national discounts and competitive retirement savings plans.
C.H. Robinson offers a competitive 401(k) plan that provides a company matching contribution to build your retirement savings. For every dollar you save, C.H. Robinson matches it dollar for dollar up to 4% of your pay. The company's contributions are deposited into your account each pay period and are immediately vested.
Profit Sharing Plan
In addition to the 401(k) plan, C.H. Robinson makes a generous additional contribution to your retirement savings. On an annual basis, C.H. Robinson makes a discretionary profit sharing contribution as a percentage of eligible pay.
You become 100% vested after five years of working more than 1,000 hours per year. If you are participating in the 401(k) and taking advantage of the company match, the average company contribution to your retirement (profit sharing & 401(k) match) can equal 10% of your pay*.
*This average is based on the previous five years of profit sharing contributions and the 4% company match.
